Most students start with weekly lessons, either 30 minutes or 60 minutes depending on age and attention span — long enough to make real progress, short enough to stay fun. We're more than happy to discuss what pace makes sense for your student's goals and schedule.
-
We start with the essentials — good sitting posture and hand position — so your student builds habits that set them up for success. Just as important, we spend time getting to know them: what music they love, what they're excited to learn, and what they're hoping to play someday. Once the basics feel comfortable, we build the lesson plan around that.
-
We know life happens — especially with busy family and homeschool schedules. We ask for at least 24 hours notice to reschedule a lesson, and we'll do our best to find a makeup time that works for you.
If less than 24 hours' notice is given, a 50% deposit is required to keep your time slot reserved and prevent it from being offered to another student.

While foundational technique matters, we don't rely on the traditional method-book-only approach. Instead, we build skills through the music students already love — whether that's a favorite pop song, a film score, or something trending in their playlist. Technique is taught through the songs they're excited about, so practice feels like progress toward something fun rather than a chore.

Of course! We want you to feel completely comfortable before committing to lessons, so please reach out with any questions — no question is too small. We're happy to talk through scheduling, teaching style, pricing, or anything else on your mind.

Our standard lessons are 1-on-1 so each student gets a pace and plan built just for them. But if you'd rather have siblings or a group of homeschool friends learn together, we can absolutely make that happen — just tell us what you have in mind, and we'll build a lesson around it.
