I’m a traveling piano teacher based in Arizona’s East Valley. I started studioambs because after years of hoping from music school to music school, I saw the same trend; students losing their spark and love for music while struggling through the dated techniques of method books.

I grew up taught in a traditional classical manner: metronomes, recitals, competitions, only classical repertoire. As I honed my skills I found myself yearning to play and express myself through my music in other ways, wanting to recreate music I heard on the radio, music that I was interested in. That’s what studioambs strives to grow in each student: joy and fulfillment in music.

I believe in fostering individual passion for music, that’s why every lesson focuses on passion, catharsis, and enjoyment instead of corrections, lectures, and one-size-fits-all curriculums.

I’ve found that the best learning comes from a genuine interest and desire to learn. That’s what we aim to provide and foster in each and every student, whether just starting out or coming back after a long hiatus.

When I’m not teaching, you can find me searching for a good sunset view, visiting cafes on the hunt for a fresh fruit tea, or bundled up with a good book

Studioambs Philosophy

Music isn’t about perfection; it’s about expression and connection.

Passion and enjoyment are the driving forces behind real progress at the piano — not strict method books, dreaded scales, or a rigid one-size-fits-all curriculum. Too many students (and former students-turned-adults) remember piano lessons as something to get through rather than look forward to.

At studioambs, technique is built through the music students already love — whether that's a film score, a favorite pop song, a Disney tune, or whatever's trending in their headphones — rather than in spite of it. Foundational skills still matter, but they're taught in service of the songs a student actually wants to play, so practice feels like progress toward something exciting instead of a chore.

Lessons move at each student's own pace. There's no comparison to a classroom of peers, no pressure of mandatory recitals, and no single "right" timeline for learning — just steady, personalized growth shaped around the student's life, schedule, and goals.
